Apple Watch review requires Booko Pro and a paired iPhone. It supports watchOS 10 or later.
Install and sync
- Install or update Booko on your paired iPhone and make sure Pro is unlocked.
- Find Booko in the Watch app on your iPhone and install it on Apple Watch.
- Open Booko on your iPhone, add notes if needed, and choose your review scope and frequency in Settings.
- Open Booko on your watch. If the first sync is pending, keep the devices connected and tap Sync.
Review on your wrist
Open Booko to read a note and its book title. Scroll to read longer notes. Tap the shuffle button to pick another note; it is disabled when only one note is available.
The watch receives up to 64 notes from your current review scope, rather than your entire library. After syncing, you can review these notes offline. Changes to notes or review settings need another sync from your iPhone.
Watch face and Smart Stack
- Watch face: edit a face that supports complications and choose Booko for a circular or rectangular slot. The rectangular complication shows a note excerpt. Tap to read in the watch app.
- Smart Stack: open and edit the Smart Stack, then add the rectangular Booko widget.
The watch uses the review scope and frequency set on your iPhone. Widgets rotate through synced notes; watchOS decides the actual refresh time.
No notes showing?
Open Booko on the paired iPhone, check your Pro access and that your review scope contains notes, then tap Sync on the watch. If an old widget link says the note has changed, continue reviewing to see current content.
Apple Watch currently supports reading and random review, without note editing or library management. Mac content must sync through iCloud to your iPhone before reaching the watch. A Mac alone cannot set up the watch.
