Getting started
From installing Booko to seeing the notes of your first book, in a few minutes.
Booko is an iPhone and iPad app for collecting the reading notes you have made across different platforms, and reviewing them book by book. No account is required, and your content stays on your device by default.
1. Install Booko
Download Booko from the App Store. Open it and start using it right away — there is nothing to sign up for.
2. Import your first notes
In Booko, choose to import notes and bring in the highlights you exported from WeRead, Apple Books, Kindle, or another platform. Booko reads the title and author, then files each highlight and thought under the right book.

3. Review by book
Once the import finishes, the book appears on your shelf. Open it to see all of its highlights and thoughts together, in reading order.
4. Write down your own thoughts
Beyond imported highlights, you can add your own thinking under any note, or write a standalone thought. For capturing ideas quickly, put a widget on your Home Screen or use Shortcuts.
5. Turn on sync (optional)
If you use more than one device, turn on iCloud sync in settings to keep your notes consistent across them. With sync off, everything stays on the current device only.
